Description

"We are the Romans and we shall do whatever it takes to preserve our Empire from these unwashed Barbarians that came to our gates!"

The Roman empire of the late antiquity was no longer the mighty beast that it was once was. In the late 4th century when the emperor
Theodosius died, he divided his empire between his 2 sons, Arcadius and Honorius. Arcadius became ruler in the East, with his capital in Constantinople, and Honorius became ruler in the West, with his capital in Milan and later Ravenna. With the empire divided between the west and the east, the military situation was further weakened and Rome became defensive in protecting its realm against the migration "Barbarians" that tried to exploit her weakness and vulnerability. The Western Empire ruled a massive territory that suffered instability and undeveloped province with disgruntled populace; with a struggling economy and an overstretched military, the West had to face internal rebellions as well as the migrating tribes looking to settle within the fertile realm of Western Europe. The Eastern Roman Empire on the other hand, developed a highly efficient administration and a strong economy to preserve its territory, but at the same time, had to be content with the ambitious Persians to the east who sought to expand their empire at Constantinople's expense. When the Huns arrived, the world sat and saw what fate the horde bring to the dying empire...

Here in the Historically Wrong Series: Rise of Kings and Queens, Gambargin will bring his skill to relive both the Western and The Eastern Roman Empire  of the Migration Era through a combination of creativity, imagination and personal research.
