Commission - A Georgian Love Story in Tbilisi

This Chibi drawing is a made for one of my earliest supporter who has been kind enough to provide me some insight about the History of Georgia and Caucasus in General. Supposedly, this is a gift for his special one

In this drawing, he is requested to be drawn as a medieval Georgian noble complete with his war gear, based on reference provided (Georgian monastic painting) as well as neighboring byzantine source. On the other hand, his special one is drawn in stylized regal attire based on the depiction of Queen Tamar, one of Georgia's famous historical personality and also a very powerful woman in the middle ages.

Caucasus has a special place in my heart and I'd love to travel to Georgia, Armenia and Azerbaijan one day to see the places I've read many times with my own eyes. As for my friend, may your endeavor with the lady be successful!
