Description
I decided to compile all the drawings I've made for one of my favorite historically wrong sketch series, Sheika Ahu durquba. Initially she started as a simple sketch i did back in 2011 after reading the tales if the steppe people in central Asia. Then the concept evolved to Ahu, a turko-persian steppe female noble and warrior in the medieval period, before finally giving her the full name of Ahu Durquba, Sheikha of Aab under in the Berlebey of Dil-Azhar along the tigris river in Mesopotamia.
The headdress was inspired from Turkish, steppe people of central Asia, and then Arabic with some stylized ornaments. I'm still thinking of making a much more elaborate drawings of her in the future.
The music that started all: Azam Ali - Nami Nami [link]

I hope you will draw more of her, she has a great design. It is interesting to see how the headdress evolved over time.
