Description
My friend from Iran asked me to draw a Persian army, seing all the sketches that i have made. Given the medieval setting, I have drawn the Persian Army with mixed style, With the Armored Horsemen from the Cataprach of Sassanid Persia, and Soldiers with Scale Armour from the Achaemenid Persia.
Ardhashian is derived from "Ardash", middle Persian for "truth".

I find Persia to be rather...well, under (or sometimes mis-) represented by popular culture. People tend to just look at their bit in the Greco-Persian Wars and just leave it at "they were the bad guys". But, honestly...they were probably the best empire of the ancient world. It was an empire that acted for the benefit of its people, even those they conquered, who (aside from a tribute every now and then) were allowed to follow their own religions and ways of life (I describe it as "The people who conquered others, but were nice about it"). Heck, the founder of the Achaemenid Empire freed all slaves under his empire, including the conquered Jews (leading him to be the only Gentile to earn the title "Messiah"), and was basically the idol of Alexander the Great (Greeks in general portrayed him as basically the ideal monarch).
