Kurfurstin Ilsa Amalia of Kurfurstentum Pomern by Gambargin Kurfurstin Ilsa Amalia of Kurfurstentum Pomern by Gambargin
A conceptual drawing of the Prussian Woman Warrior of Project: Blood and Steel, a part of Historically Wrong Sketch Series based on the 17th Century Era. Perhaps out of all the women warriors I have drawn so far, Ilsa bears the true title of being more of a "Warrior" than a "Woman" with her dreaded eyes and battle scars.

Her Theme (also the Main theme of the series) - Andreas Waldetoft - Stage is Set…

Behold, Ilsa Amalia von Niedestatt, Electress of Pomern (Based on the Historical Prussian), descendant of Ilsa von Harzberg (Who continued the dynastic line of von Niedesestatt) from the previous series. As one can see, she is depicted in a highly decorated, stylized cuirass and armed with a wheellock carbine (Both of Questionable Accuracies, something that i took inspiration from seeing the image of Prussian's Reiters. She adorn her battle scars with pride and fears barnacles more than flying musket balls or pikes. There is little 'feminine beauty' in her; while other court ladies would flatter any gentlemen into submission, Ilsa is more than capable to taunt her opponents and beat them to death, twice.

Unlike the Harzbergs who are mostly interested in gaining their political ambition through grand strategy and tactful intrigue, the Niedestatt prefers a much more direct and straightforward approach through a good use of steel and lead. Given their precarious position, surrounded by the scandinavians in the north, the Wends to the east, Harzbergs to their south, as well as possible Frankonians incursions from the west, the Electorate of Pomern are more than likely to be invaded from either side in a supremacy contest over the Baltic. As the saying goes, "Si vis pacem, para bellum".

Fortunately for the Pomernians, the current electress Ilsa Amalia is a dreaded general and a Bold leader with unhealthy martial obsession that can mobilize the whole nation to
war in a moment's notice effectively and efficiently. War is no stranger to the Pomernians, they'd happily unhorse any Hackapelites , pluck the feathers of the wendish winged hussars , bury those frankonians musketeers and maybe perhaps one day, challenge the Authority of their powerful and ambitious kin over control of germany.....the Harzbergs .

Historically speaking, Prussia on which the her faction is based upon, existed as the electorate of branderburg-prussia through marital union of Duchess Anna of Prudsia and John sigismund of the Magriavate of Brandenburg. Their lands were mostly devastated by the thirty years war, and the scars had led the prussian leadership to develop a unique, effective and efficient military system and doctrine that catapult their position to prominence in the politics of Europe, eventually uniting all Germany in the 19th century.

The Single Headed eagle is a stylized symbol of the faction, with P denoting Pomern (or Pretzels)

Ehehe, i see that many people goes for her kin, the harzberg (austrian)....should i include another kursfurtin from say, Bavaria region to even the odds?

Hm well I voted for Ilda, because she really looks so cool and beautiful and like a good leader of the Reich.

Yeah why not, at that time also Bayern (Bavaria) and Sachsen (Saxony) were rather important mid-states.

You really do a great job!
