Description

"The Red Bear Has Awoken, The World Shall See His Might"

A concept sketch for the future (not sure when) Historically Wrong Sketch Series Project: Choir of Liberty - The Red March, a spin-off of the main Choir of Liberty HWS Project: Choir of Liberty by GambarginSeries, set at the alternative conclusion to the Cold War, the invasion of America.

Inspired by the following Scene: www.youtube.com/watch?v=CBoc99…

I've watched the Movie Red Dawn and findit in triguing for the Soviet to Invade US....but I'm not sure why some people wanted to see the What-if course of event where the Soviet declare war on US and invade the American homeland or open conflict. Regardless of what the justification of the war can be and whoever emerged victorious, the clash of the two superpowers would be disastrous to the world's economy and stability :O. It was one of the reason why the Cold War stayed Cold, no sane leaders of both side would dare to start an open conflict with each other, least it spiraled to the destruction of the world (but there's plenty of what historians refer to as proxy wars to divert the attention)

Just like what Einstein has said: "I do not know what weapons we use in the 3rd World War, but we will be sure to use sticks and stones when fighting on the 4th"

A Gift for my friend who loves Call of Duty - Modern Warfare Series more than he loves his girlfriend =P

I think part of the reason that this scenario appeals to people (Americans in particular) is a romanticisation of war.

There is a certain patriotism in the USA, and I think there must be those who look back and think:
"I'm glad that didn't happen... but if it did, we would have won!"

And after all, being invaded provides the ultimate dramatic film situation -
what better opportunity for heroics, and proving your worth than fighting your way to victory from the brink of defeat?
