Description
Princess Ahu drawn fully dressed in full Mameluke Mail and Mirror-Plate Armor with stylized modification to suit the middle-eastern Women Warriors. Weapons included in the drawing are Sarravid Cavalry Schimitar, Steppe Composite Bow and Steel Shield.
Historically speaking, Arabic Women who took part in war before and during the times of Prophet Muhammad (SAW) were mainly battle-priestess to support the morale of the troops. The Seljuks Turks did employ women as part of their raiding mounted archers early on which were drawn from steppe nomads but was soon phased out after they settled down in Persia and Mesopotamia region.
Many thanks for my colleague who inspired me with the idea!
